The Valley of Life
This dream opens with my being with a group of people and a young girl in our midst. It seems we are in a small city with the appearance of it being like the slums. As this dream progresses these people desire to know where the Valley of Life is located. I had no idea where it was. The only one who knew was the young girl.
I have understanding that this valley had a river, and I, along with these people, desired to go find it; because the little girl knew where it was, she would lead the expedition to locate it.
We decided to make plans and set a date. It had to be done quickly, within two to three days. We could not have any delay because it would create a situation where eventually the other people who lived in the city would discover our plans for life and kill us. It is here in the dream I learn these other people in the city are called “The Dead.”
On the specific date we set out together and it was a most difficult journey. Some people were slower than others and the young girl and I constantly kept track of everyone ensuring they would not fall prey to “The Dead.” By now we were certain “The Dead” knew we were all missing and were pursuit of us.
The description of “The Dead” following us resembled those in the movie “The Dead”.
The group I am with have this deep resolve to make it to The Valley of Life. Their determination is tangible. They press on in one mind and one accord—they are focused on making it happen.
It was a long journey and we finally make it to this mountain and on the other side of it is The Valley of Life.
To my dismay I hear in the distance the voices and the clamor of “The Dead” approaching us. I feel the need to press everyone to quickly move on.
At the bottom of the mountain is an entrance and the young girl leads and I follow her. The group we are with is behind us and I look back at them and my blood runs cold. Their appearances suddenly changed! Some became skeletal! Their boney fingers protruding out from the garments. Their cheek bones were white contrasted with the blackness beneath them and around their eyes. Others looked as if they were vapor. They reminded me of the actors in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean.” Their clothing became tattered and the hair on some of the men became extremely long and quite beautiful.
I was distraught, because somehow, I had been duped into thinking they were pursuers of life and now that we had come this far, they would fall upon us and kill us. I could not figure out how I had not discerned their deceiving us; but they actually had not. I mentioned to the young girl about her discernment. I was just sick. I looked at them and they were bent over. Their long hair was in their faces and swaying back and forth with every step. They were coming toward us and I had no idea what to do first.
Then it was like we were not there and they filed past us. I then realized they were a different kind of dead people—they were wanting life!
The young girl lifts the dirty curtain over the entrance. The curtain was similar to a burlap sack, and it was ragged. The place was narrow and the walls of it roughly hewn out. Each one had to pass through individually.
The young girl and I was compelling them to move faster and about half way through I could hear “The Dead.” They were much closer –and then—I woke up.
Notes: I had my sister-in-law help me with interpreting this dream.
As a whole people are dead, without spiritual intimacy with God. Some know they are dead like those who followed us, and they would do anything to make it to The Valley of Life.
The other dead do not want to know intimacy with God and will not allow others to know Him either.
The wicked become more wicked.
The youthful and very knowing girl represents the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit knows “the way” to The Valley of Life.” I followed her and everyone else followed us. Yeshua is “The Way” to the Father.
Everyone goes through the narrow place which is the narrow gate that leads to life. Mt 7:14.
