“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.”

SUMMARY: As the days grow darker and more evil, false prophets will emerge to lead the gullible and vulnerable astray. Yeshua gives warning in Matthew 24 to not be deceived by them. Marshall Whitegate is an example of leading people to their deaths.

Shalom, shalom; peace, peace in the name of Yeshua. This is Crystal Sharpe and welcome to the Ancient Scrolls program.

I do have a website, it is all one word, Ancientscrollsonline.com where I post prophetic dreams, visions, articles, sources, prophetic words: ancientscrollsonline.com.

Shema from Deuteronomy 6

Shema, O Israel, the Lord God, the Lord is One.

You shall love the Lord Your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strength.

Psalm 24

The earth is the Lord’s and the fulness thereof; the world and those who dwell therein.

Father YHVH,

I thank You that You are God of the universe, King over heaven and earth. We anticipate Your kingdom to come. We yearn to see Your righteousness and justice to reign over the whole earth.

I pray against this spirit of delusion that has permeated this nation and this people. We pray for a release of Your warring angels to subdue the principalities that are at work.

We pray against this Coronavirus as well, as all these elements are working against Your promise of revival.

We thank you for Your promises, the blessing of having Your Word. We thank You for the blood of Yeshua, his death, burial resurrection and ascension. We pray against this chaos in the name of Yeshua. Amen

So, I am going to go over a few passages in Matthew 24 to familiarize you with them and the context; and I will expound here and there.

24 Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. 2  But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”

Though the disciples have a sense of pride and admiration for the beauty and grandeur of the Temple, Yeshua is not impressed with it. He gives a prophetic word to them that it will be destroyed and not one stone will be left upon another. Yeshua was blunt concerning the future of the Temple. In turn this would raise many questions among the disciples. So, they were probably whispering amongst themselves. Among their thoughts would be the nations once more destroying Jerusalem, the Temple and hauling them away a conquered people to the nations once more.

3  As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” 4  And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. 5  For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. 6  And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. 7  For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8  All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.”

9  “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation (persecution) and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. 10  And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. 11  And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. 12  And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. 13  But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 14  And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

15  “So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16  then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17  Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house, 18  and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. 19  And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days!

20  Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. 21  For then there will be great tribulation (this means the great persecution), such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. 22  And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. 23  Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24  For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. 25  See, I have told you beforehand. 26  So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27  For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

28  Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather. 29  “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31  And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

So, we are going to focus on just a few verses. It concerns being deceived.

And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. 5  For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray.

Let’s talk about deception, being deceived by those who will call themselves the Christ. In Hebrew the word for Christ, or in Greek word is Christos, would be Mashiach. It means ‘anointed one.’ This is when a horn or a vial of oil is poured on an individual and they would be set apart for service of the Lord. The ancient people would anoint priests and kings.

So, Yeshua is saying here; well, let me say first that some interpret what He is saying, there will be those who would come in His name, under the banner of His name and call Him the Mashiach/Messiah and would lead people away from Him, away from His kingdom, away from the gospel of salvation.

And this has happened and they are called wolves in sheep’s clothing. They don’t care about the sheep. They devour widow’s houses and lay burdens on the sheep. They have another gospel called ‘gain is godliness.’ I Timothy 6:5-10.

They despise the poor. They do nothing to alleviate the pain and suffering of the poor. Also, they look to see whom they may sexually abuse in the church. They distort passages of the Word from its original intent. They will not repent of their abusive conduct. They can quote a lot of scriptures but they will not practice the scriptures. Inside they are full greed, hatred and adultery. So, we know who these people are, but people will follow them anyway.

But I am thinking concerning these passages is He is referring to them who will call themselves the mashiach, the anointed one that the world has been anticipating.

In the ancient past, and throughout the years, there have been individuals who have called themselves God and they have died, and they stayed dead. There were no witnesses to their resurrection. Yeshua, in Acts 1, 500 people witnessed His ascension into heaven.

Now, so these individuals will be more than just anti-christ, that is, against Yeshua, against God, against the Torah, they will be more than being just anti-Christian; these people call themselves God. Another one is coming. He is here, the beast is here, but has not yet made his appearance or his parousia. At his appointed time, he will be seen. It is not his time yet, but the demonic realm has been adding pressure, and the news outlets show this pressure 24 hours a day, the unrest, the abuse, the savagery, and this pressure we are seeing is to force his arrival so to as to bring this false peace. Because of the uncontrolled violence, (and we are seeing it right now) people will want peace so badly, they will receive any figure that will promise peace; and in the process will be deceived.

I am all for peace, but peace here in this earth, is only temporary. The beast that comes will have a temporary covenant or agreement for only 7 years. He will come in through flatteries and deceit.

Daniel 11:21, And in his place shall arise a vile person, to whom they will not give the honor of royalty; but he shall come in peaceably and seize the kingdom by intrigue.

Some translations have flatteries, which means he will bribe important people to support him.

A question may be asked: “What is the bribe for people to support him.” We are going to see this.

Now scholars and other teachers say this Daniel chapter 11 has already been fulfilled during the time of Antiochus Epiphanes. We would not consider these to be of no more value, of no importance concerning the future beast since it has been fulfilled.

The Greek mind sometimes view prophecy as predictive and then fulfillment of it (a word is given and then fulfilled and then it is the end of that word, and it can be forgotten about); but the Hebrew view about prophecy involves patterns, it follows patterns, prophecy follows patterns.

Daniel 11 consists of a number of patterns that serve as template, a model, or an example of what to expect for the beast to come.

Daniel 9:27

Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week. This is a pattern that may likely be repeated for the end of the age.

Let us read a little farther down in Daniel 11: 23,

And after the league is made with him, he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small number of people. He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his forefathers; he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and riches (this is the bribe, to disperse among them that support him the plunder); and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time.

Another pattern Daniel 11:39

Thus he (beast) shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory, and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain. (This is the bribe, the inducement offered to his collaborators, or to the confederacy that joins him.)

There is even now there is a strong delusion upon this nation and the world. There are and will be false prophets.

Some of you may remember Marshall Applewhite.

An American cult leader who founded what became known as the Heaven’s Gate religious group and organized their mass suicide in 1997, claiming the lives of 39 people.

Applewhite and Nettles told their followers that they would be visited by extraterrestrials who would provide them with new bodies. Applewhite initially stated that his followers and he would physically ascend to a spaceship, where their bodies would be transformed, but later, he came to believe that their bodies were the mere containers of their souls, which would later be placed into new bodies. These ideas were expressed with language drawn from Christian eschatology, the New Age movement, and American popular culture.

In 1996, they learned of the approach of Comet Hale–Bopp and rumors of an accompanying spaceship. They concluded that this spaceship was the vessel that would take their spirits on board for a journey to another planet. Believing that their souls would ascend to the spaceship and be given new bodies, the group members died by mass suicide in their mansion. A media circus followed the discovery of their bodies. In the aftermath, commentators and academics discussed how Applewhite persuaded people to follow his commands, including suicide. Some commentators attributed his followers’ willingness to die by suicide to his skill as a manipulator, while others argued that their willingness was due to their faith in the narrative that he constructed.

In the days to come we will begin to see more of these false messiahs and false prophets. There will be those who will announce that the Messiah is in the desert, or that the Messiah in the inner chamber. Yeshua says to not believe it, nor go out because it will not be Him. His return will be like this:

27 For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

Before television, cell phones, wi-fi, and social networks, Israel announced the feasts of the Lord, and the new moon through fires that would travel east from Israel and travel west throughout the nations. This was their method of making announcements. Those in exile would know when His feasts had begun. The announcement started east to west, and His arrival will be like that, east to west. Lightning does not always go east to west so this is like a Jewish idiom.

He will not be in the desert, He will not be in the inner chamber, He will come in the clouds.

I am going to end the program here.

If it is God’s will, I will be here next week. Remember to walk by faith and not by sight. Ask God to cleanse you of all unrighteousness every day. Hunger and thirst after righteousness, so that you will be enriched in all His wisdom. Keep your spiritual garments clean from spot, wrinkle, and blemish. Do two things this week, love and forgive. Love God and love your neighbor.

Rico Cortes will sing the Aaronic priestly blessing.
