Shalom, Shalom; peace in the name of Yeshua. This is Crystal Sharpe and welcome to the Ancient Scrolls program. Today is the first day of the week, Sunday October 7, 2018.
Rita Sharp will be ministering at Pastor Skeens church Word of Faith church located at 4H Lake Road at Beaver, WV on the 13th at 6:30.We always appreciate the on time word she delivers by the Holy Spirit.
We will go ahead and pray before we get started on the teaching:
Father,
We thank You for being God, for being the King of the Universe over heaven and earth. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof; the world, and those who dwell therein. The joy of the Lord is my strength.
The Shema proclamation:
Shema, O America, the Lord our God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strength.
I ask You to cleanse me from all unrighteousness so my prayers will not be hindered.
I pray for Your people, I pray for the lost. The most difficult and trying times are approaching us. The spirit of deception has been loosed upon the earth as it says 2 Thessalonians 2:9, the coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
I pray for Your creation that loves the deceitful ideologies of the world. Father, send Your Holy Spirit and angels to remove the heavy scales from our eyes and from our minds that blind us to Your truth. Clearly seen, we are unable to save ourselves.
We pray for a Spirit of Repentence that would saturate the nations. We pray against every satanic activity this Halloween; we pray against every demon they send on assignment. Father, we pray You would send angelic powers to tear down the high places of satanic worship, that You would break down the altars of Ba’al. We pray against the enemy that has come to steal, kill and destroy. We pray that You would strike the kingdom of darkness with fear. We pray for the continual protection of President Trump. We pray that Your wisdom, knowledge and understanding would permeate his inner man. Place in him Your desires.
In Yeshua’s name we pray, Amen.
Last program I had gone over Yom Kippur, and that it is the holiest day of the year. It was the only day the Cohen hagadol could go into the holiest place where the Ark of the Covenant rested.
I briefly covered the two goats that were presented to the High priest. By lots in an urn, one lot would have YHVH’s name on it and the other lot Azazel. When the high priest would thrust both his hands in the urn, the Lord would choose which goat would be sacrificed by lot and which one would be taken and exiled into the wilderness.
For centuries the Jews have wrestled with how to define the noun Azazel; if it would be the name of the goat representing the devil or the place where sins are exiled. My opinion is Azazel is the place where sins go; it is the place of exile. There is a scripture in Psalm 103:12, As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. It is the exile, or the removal of our sins far from us, and that is the idea with the goat going to Azazel, the wilderness.
Yom Kippur is said to be the day that the accuser haSatan was not able to accuse Israel. It is because of their cycle of repentance that began the month before Tishrei, called Elul. So the nation of Israel would begin the preparation of ridding themselves of their sins, of bad thoughts, bad relationships, and make restitution to those they thought they may have robbed through business transactions, land deals, etc; if they had abused the poor in some way. The idea was to make things right with God and their neighbor so they would be able to receive the former rains in its season. Their future depended on the blessing of rain for their crops, fruit trees and livestock.
Numbers 23 the passages there record that Balaam was hired to curse Israel 3 times, but on the second attempt it says the curse could not light 21: God has not observed iniquity in Jacob, Nor has He seen wickedness in Israel. The LORD his God is with him. And the shout of the King is among them; For there is no sorcery against Jacob, nor any divination against Israel.
In this text we see the devil has no excuse to afflict Israel. I am saying this to make a comparison with Yom Kippur that if there is no sin, the accuser has no grounds to curse God’s people.
There is a system the Jews use periodically to calculate the numerical value of names or phrases and to some degree it helps support some biblical exegesis. This system is call gematria. There are lots of numbers in the Bible that are definitely relating to us something deeper, and even in the torah is a Book called Numbers.
The way it works is that each letter of the Hebrew alphabet is assigned a number. Starting with Alef it is assigned 1, beit is 2; Gimmel is 3 and to the end of the alphabet tav which is assigned 400.
Revelation 13:18, John says: Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of man: his number is 666.
So the translators when looking at the Greek letters in Revelation assigned a number to the name of the beast. It is supposed by some that the letters used in the original Hebrew (some say Aramaic) or Greek were not to have been given numerical assignments. The original manuscripts are thought to either spell the name of the beast, or describe the function of the beast.
Wallid Shoebat is convinced the Greek script spells the name of the Muslim god Allah. I thought his take on it was interesting.
When the Greek is converted back to Hebrew it is translated to Satur. Satur means “hidden, concealed, secret.’’ It is related to the tares and wheat parable with understanding that the tares are” hidden in plain sight” among the wheat. For a while the tares are undetectable until close to the harvest when the kernals or the grain become evident. The wheat bows its head and its fruit are exposed whereas the tares have no fruit and so they stand straight up as if in pride.
As tares are eventually revealed so will the antichrist as it says in 2 Thessalonians 3, Let no man deceive you by any means; for that Day (that day is the fall feasts of Yom Teruah) will not come unless the falling away comes first and the man of sin is revealed the son of perdition.
So back to Yom Kippur, it is the day, the one day, the sages say Satan cannot accuse Israel. Remember Balaam came to curse Israel, and was unable to do it. And interestingly in the Talmud there is a number value given for haSatan which is Hebrew for “the Satan. The gematria, or numerical expression for haSatan is 364, it is 1 away from being 365. There are 365 days in a year, and minus one day is 364. So the sages infer from this that on one day a year, the holiest day of the year Yom Kippur; haSatan has no power to seduce human beings.
This compares to passages found Revelation 20 that has this Yom Kippur comparison
Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain was in his hand.
He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him (remember the word seal because we are going to go over another place where the seal is used again), so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.
Remember what I mentioned earlier on the last program that
–Yom Teruah Judgment is rendered
–Yom Kippur Judgment is sealed We saw Satan being sealed in Rev 20
–Hoshanah Rabbah Judgment is delivered
Revelation 7 John saw an angel from the east having the seal of the living God and 144,000 of the tribes of Israel were sealed. This is thought to be the day of Yom Kippur.
Revelation 5, let us take a look at it. In this chapter the Lamb is found worthy to take the scroll with 7 seals and open it. When I look at this I see Yom Kippur especially in verse 8 where it reads the 24 elders and the 4 living creatures fall down before the Lamb and they each have a golden bowl full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
I looked through the Mishnah which is a book that houses the oral traditions of the Jewish law, and it says that the utensils used for the day of Yom Kippur were gold. On other days the utensils used for the temple service were silver. It also said that a handful of incense was burned before the Lord every day, but on Yom Kippur both hands were full of incense and offered before the Lord.
But as I look at this scene in Revelation chapter 5,I also see threads that would allow me to think this could also be Hoshanah Rabbah which is the 7th day of Tabernacles. In John 7 it says this is the day Yeshua cried out that if anyone was thirsty to come to Him and out of their beings would flow rivers of living waters. This also was a foreshadowing of the Holy Spirit being poured out.
HoShanah Rabbah as I said a few minutes ago is the day of deliverance of judgment. Here we see Yeshua unsealing the book of judgments that were sealed on Yom Kippur. I am not certain in my evaluation of this chapter reflecting Hoshanah Rabbah, but it does have certain elements that cause me to think it perhaps the last day of Tabernacles.
Revelation chapter 8 the 7th seal is opened and there is silence in heaven about a space of a half an hour, (this portion of the passage has the markings of Yom Kippur. The High Priest would stand in the holy place and pray a short prayer for if he prolonged his prayer Israel would be in terror. This means those people standing outside the Temple praying would think the Lord was displeased with them, or the High Priest had died).
As the text continues the 7 angels are positioned with their trumpets. Another angel has a golden censer and he stands at the altar and he is given much incense that is offered with the prayers of the saints. The smoke of the censer ascends before God. The angel takes fire from the altar throws it to the earth in judgment. The golden censer, the incense, the fire from the altar, the smoke—all allude to the Yom Kippur service.
Yom Kippur is the only day the High Priest went into the Holy of Holies and it was the only day the Ark of the Covenant was seen, so in Revelation 11:19 the Ark of the Covenant is seen in the heavenly temple. This is the time the seventh trumpet sounds:
Then the Temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His Temple; and there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.
In Revelation 15 beginning at verse 5
After these things I looked, and behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened.
And out of the temple came the seven angels having the seven plagues, clothes in pure bright linen, and having their chests girded with golden bands.
Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever. The Temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power and no one was able to enter the temple till the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.
In chapter 16:17 after the 7th golden bowl of the plague was poured out, a voice in the temple cries out: “It is finished!” I am going to expand on this for a few minutes on the Yom Kippur service.
The High Priest takes the blood of the bull that is an offering of an atonement for the High Priest and his house in the Holy of Holies. After he sprinkles the blood He will stay and pray alone as it says in Leviticus 16:17.
As I mentioned the Mishnah before the preference was to keep the prayer short. After the completion of the Atonement prayer the High Priest would say: “It is finished.”
On the cross Yeshua said the same in the gospel of John 19:30: And when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said: It is finished! And bowing His head, He gave up His Spirit.
At the end of the program. I hope this segment has illuminated more of the word to you.
If it is God’s will I will be here next program. Remember to walk by faith and not by sight. Do two things this week: love and forgive. Ask God to cleanse you from all unrighteousness every day. Keep your spiritual garments clean from wrinkles, spots and wrinkles. Love God, love your neighbor.
