“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.”

Tabernacles October 21 2018

Shalom-shalom; peace in the name of Yeshua. This is Crystal Sharp and welcome to the Ancient Scrolls program. Today is the first day of the week, it is Sunday, October 21

Today we are going to cover the Lord’s feast of Sukkot. We translate it to the Lord’s feast of Booths or Tabernacles. I will point out some passages in the Word that applies to this feast. I am hoping that studying the feasts will enhance your learning of the Word, and the book of Revelation since it is about the fulfillment of the Lord’s fall feasts.

I may as well tell you that there are some who are saying at least three of the seven seals in Revelation 6 have been broken open. The year 2001 was a significant year of a broken seal.

There are those who would disagree because of the fear factor that is involved with the realization of the seriousness of what has been released. The world gives a sense of security in how it labels these judgments meted out by saying it is global warming instead of judgments, and all we have to do is pay a global tax in order for it to be reversed. To the world money solves everything, in the kingdom of God us returning to Him, this only will restore all of creation.

Let us cover the program in prayer:

Father,

We thank You for being God, for being the King of the universe, over heaven and earth. No one in the earth is greater than You. You hold us and the world together by the power of Your Word. We exist because of Your breath in us.

I ask You to cleanse me from all unrighteousness so that my prayers will not be hindered; cast our sins from us as far as the east is from the west.

The Shema proclamation:

Shema, O America, the Lord our God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strength.

We pray against the antichrist spirit of delusion that has saturated Your creation. We pray for those that are held prisoner to it. We pray for those who oppose You; those that have a genuine fear, or phobia, of Your truth. We pray that they will instead develop a love for Your truth so that they might be saved according to 2 Thessalonians 2.

We continue to pray against the abortion holocaust that has polluted the earth and the sexual perversions that have defiled the land. We pray against human trafficking, child molestation, we pray against drug addiction and those government officials who are lobbyists for the spirit of pharmakia in Babylon. We pray against witchcraft, and charismatic witchcraft, against the demons sent on assignment this Halloween; push back the principalities, the powers, rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places.  We ask that You cause confusion and chaos in the camp of the enemy. We pray Your will be done in the earth as it is done in heaven.

We pray that You would saturate President Trump with Your Spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding, Your Spirit of might, and counsel, and the fear of the Lord. Help him to be discerning.  We pray for his protection as well.

We pray for Israel, for their protection as the nations are conspiring to destroy them. We thank You for those few Messianic believers that meet regularly there, and we look forward to the day when all of Israel will be saved.

We ask for healing of those today that are afflicted in one way or another. We pray for the healing and deliverance of those that have been sexually molested by family members, neighbors, those in the church. We pray that You would stop this demonic victimization of children.

Father, we bring these petitions to You in the name of Your Son, Yeshua haMashiach. Amen.

For several weeks we have been focusing on those passages concerning the fall feasts of the Lord to familiarize everyone with them and to use these feasts to make connections with the scenes found in Revelation.

It was in 2016, the Father told me to study the end of the book, and the book meaning the Bible, and the end of it Revelation. I understood He was saying those prophecies in the book of Revelation would now begin to fulfill quickly and He wanted me to understand the dynamics of Revelation through the lense of His fall feasts.

I have said before the spring feasts are about Yeshua’s first coming and the fall feasts concern His second coming. For instance, the first four books of the New Testament: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, reflect the spring feasts of the Lord through Passover (His death, and burial), Unleavened Bread (His life of performing the Word of God without error, the traditions of men), and the first fruits of the barley harvest (His resurrection). The gospels reflect in the life of Yeshua the spring feasts.

The book of Acts reflects the Lord’s feast of Shavuot which is Pentecost. The Holy Spirit was poured out during that time with signs and wonders of deliverances, salvation, healings, people being raised from the dead, and angelic activity. But also, during that time was the revival of persecution that prospered under the wealthy emperors and other wealthy political elite.

Revelation carries all the fall feasts: Yom Teruah, Yom Kippur and the feast of Booths and the 8th day.

Today we are going to examine the Lord’s feast of Booths, and in Hebrew that would be Sukkot; Sukkot is plural with Sukkah being singular and it means hut, a booth, or flimsy dwelling roofed with branches. Sukkot ends the cycle of the Lord’s feasts for the year with the 8th day being like the afterglow of the joyous celebration of thanksgiving to the Lord.

Sukkot occurs on the 15th day of the 7th month. The 7th month is called by the Babylonian name of Tishrei.

The fall feasts of the Lord are called the End of Days because all the wheat, and fruit harvests were finished. This would be the end of the agricultural cycle and so the New Year would begin.

Sukkot has several appellations. It is called the feast of Rejoicing, the season of our joy and the feast of the Nations. It is the marriage supper of the Lamb found in Revelation chapters 19 and 20. My favorite passage on this feast is in Zechariah 14 where the feast is celebrated in Jerusalem by those who are left of the nations.

Leviticus 23:33

Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: Speak to the children of Israel saying: The 15th day of this 7th month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for 7 days to the LORD. On the first day there shall be a holy convocation. You shall do not customary work on it.

  1. 36. For 7 days you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD. On the 8th day you shall have a holy rehearsal, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD. It is a sacred assembly, and you shall do no customary work on it.
  2. Also on the 15th day of the 7th month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep the feast of the LORD for 7 days; on the first day there shall be a Sabbath-rest, and on the 8th day a Sabbath rest.
  3. And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees, branches of palm trees, the bough of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God for 7 days. (Here is our clue that Sukkot is the feast of rejoicing. You will see this imagery in the book of Revelation 7: and after these things I looked and behold a great multitude which no one could number of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, Saying: “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”) We know this multitude to be those who had come out of the great tribulation. In a few seconds we are going to talk about it again.
  4. You shall dwell in booths for 7 days. All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths 43. that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

Sukkot commemorates the time when Israel came out of Egypt. They lived in flimsy huts in their wonderings. It is during this time they were fed manna, and they drank water from the rock, their shoes did not wear out nor did their clothing. In this wilderness Yeshua dwelled among them as a protective fiery pillar by night and a pillar of smoke during the day.

Revelation 7:16 gives us a visual of how this feast will be fulfilled in the future, as well, of His dwelling with His people. John sees the multitude that came out of the great tribulation and it says of this multitude: they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them (Dwell in this instance means to communicate and protect). They shall neither hunger anymore, nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.

The wilderness certainly had its challenges, but during this time He was extravagant with His divine presence, and all their needs were supplied. Yeshua was there continually for them, and this was a foreshadowing of the millennium to come in the book of Revelation, how His kingdom would be conducted.

Let’s look in the New Testament in the Gospel of Mark 9:4

And He said to them, Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God present with power. (We see here a promise and it is connected to the next verse, it having to do with Yeshua’s transfiguration)

Now after 6 days Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up on a high mountain (early church tradition said this was at Mt. Tabor. Mt. Tabor is a dormant volcano. There are some scholars who appear to support that it was Mt Hermon. Mt. Hermon has a lot of history attached to it. There is a scholar who has written a book called “HaShem.” In it He states that Mt. Hermon is actually Mt. Sinai. He may be right. I do know a spiritual portal existed at Mt Sinai, and also at Mt. Hermon. Mt Hermon is the location, the spiritual portal, from which the fallen angels descended to have intercourse with the daughters of men. But what I do know from the passages prior to the transfiguration is that Yeshua and His disciples were at Caesarea Phillippi which is a short distance south of Mt Hermon.) apart to themselves; and He was transfigured before them. (Luke recorded in his gospel account of the transfiguration as 8 days. He probably counted the day Yeshua said: some standing here will not taste death till they see the kingdom of God present with power. That would make it 7 days, and then the day of the Transfiguration would make it 8 days.

His clothes became shining, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them

And Elijah appeared to them with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus. (What do you all think they were discussing? His death).

  1. Then Peter answered and said to Jesus. Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah—6. Because he did not know what to say, for they were greatly afraid.

And a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!”

  1. Suddenly when they looked around they saw no one anymore, but only Jesus with themselves.
  2. Now as they came down from the mountain, He commanded them that they should tell no one the things they had seen, till the Son of Man had risen from the dead.
  3. So they kept this word to themselves, questioning what the rising from the dead meant. (So, it had not registered to them that their Rabbi was destined to die at the hands of His creation.

There are some elements to consider that perhaps this event happened at the time of Tabernacles.

That Peter suggested that they build temporary huts for Yeshua, Elijah, and Moses. In the wilderness was a cloud covering by day and night. The Pentateuch gives us several accounts of the Shekinah glory filling up the Tabernacle. There were times that Moses and Aaron had to remove themselves from the Tabernacle because of the volume or the density of His presence there. Not that the presence forced them out, but because of the inability to be able to see.

The three gospels express this density also. They were frightened by it. But the spiritual portal there was opened.  This is the place where heaven and earth met, eternity kissed the earth, when the invisible becomes tangible, or visible to those in the flesh. Remarkable. Elijah and Moses meeting with Yeshua. Elijah and Moses are dead? I think not. Surely God is of the living and not of the dead. Matthew 22:32  Awesome.

I am going to end the program. Rico Cortes will sing the Aaronic blessing in Hebrew from Numbers 6:24-26.

If it is God’s will I will be here next program. Remember to walk by faith and not by sight. Do two things this week: love and forgive. Ask God to cleanse you from all unrighteousness every day. Keep your spiritual garments clean from wrinkles, spots and wrinkles. Love God, love your neighbor.
