This dream begins that we are living in a small town. We lived in a one story home next to a business that sold elegant items that were made of metal that looked like had copper. Some of it reminded me of Black Hills gold. Glass and crystal were joined to give the metal workings exquisite features. Several different chandeliers hung from the ceiling.
At our home we thought to build a second floor. So, we tore the roof off and put down a floor and added a new roof over the second floor. The 2 by 4’s and 4 by 6’s were laid already with no walls up. It was just a skeleton shell. I had a couch there with a couple of lawn chairs, there were tools and the like here and there.
A friend comes to visit, she and I sit on the couch. It was a nice warm evening for just relaxing. The day was pretty with blue skies and lots of puffy white clouds that were overhead and also nestling on the biggest mountain in the distance. It was a perfect evening, no stress, just serene. The whole atmosphere would make one think that everything was alright with the world.
Suddenly, the clouds started rapidly turning over and became black and threatening. It was remarkable how quickly it developed into a huge cell. The mountains were covered with the blackness as well. I could see the storm churning on the mountain, making a circular motion. It seemed like it could not make up its mind to explode into a tornado. Finally, it came down about half way and lifted back up. I felt some relief and thought everything is going to be alright.
This system is enormous and I am asking: “Is it encompassing the whole land?” Just when I thought it was safe, the funnel comes down once more. It is sucking up everything in its path and coming straight at us. We scatter and I am shouting a warning: “The storm is coming! The storm is coming!”
The storm was so fast we did not have time to seek any other shelter but to stay on the bottom floor. It was upon us before we knew it. The house was fiercely shaking and creaking beneath its force. It was very frightening. I looked up at the ceiling and it was like a hole opened up, a portal and it expanded. I could see clearly through the second flooring. The center of the funnel was directly over us and I saw paper and other debris being vacuumed up in it to disappear in its abyss.
It seems it takes a great length of time for it to leave, but finally it does. I go next door to check on the fellow that has the business and he is alright. He is shaken a little, and relieved it was over. He lost a few things, but no great catastrophe.
I lost maybe a couple of lawn chairs, and that was about it. It was non-essential items. End.
