“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.”

Psalm 29 May 27 2018

Shalom-shalom, peace, in the name of Yeshua. This is Crystal Sharpe and welcome to the Ancient Scrolls program. Today is the first day of the week, May 27th.

So let us go ahead and open up in prayer:

Father,

You are the King of the universe, over heaven and earth. You see everything in the earth, nothing escapes Your sight or the motives of mankind. I appreciate that Your mercies are new each morning. I live because of Your mercies, and not because of anything good that I have ever done. Your hand preserves my rising up, my lying down; my coming in and going out; and in the city and in the field.

You fill us with good things from the tree of life, which is the Torah. You teach us righteousness and justice. Torah is the blueprint to show me how to love You and to love my neighbor. Help us to learn Your word and to perform acts of righteousness and justice.

I confess the sins of this nation, these sins and iniquities are against the instructions and teachings of righteousness and justice. I confess the sins of abortion, murder, child molestation, homosexuality, zoophilia, human trafficking, adultery, idolatry, fornication, hatred, bearing false witness against family members and neighbors, witchcraft, charismatic witchcraft, divination, drug addiction, greed, jealousy, and the worship of death in the nations. I have a friend in California and she was relating to me a story of a particular church there that practice a twisted and perverted practice of necromancy. I would not have believed it had she not sent me a video of the pastor’s wife lying on a grave and calling up the supposed anointing of the dead. This nation is in a twisted mess of perverted teachings. I pray against the dark and ignorant teachings of the wicked shepherds in this nation. I pray You will expose the wolves in sheep’s clothing.

My Lord, cleanse our hearts from all unrighteousness, make this nation sick of its sins. Help the nation to pursue, to hunger and thirst after righteousness. I ask You to bless Your righteous folk with Your favor and protection; and keep Your people from the defilement of the leaven that has permeated houses that were once honorable houses of worship.

I pray for President Trump that he would be a man after Your own heart. I ask that You give him wisdom, knowledge and understanding and Your Spirit of might, discernment, counsel and the fear of the Lord.

Bring conviction upon Israel, and the Arab nations to know Yeshua. There are 7 billion people in the world and they all need to know Yeshua. I bless Israel, Your chosen people among the nations.  Amen.

Last weekend was the Lord’s feast of Shavuot and the Christian observance of it—Pentecost. So now we are going toward the Lord’s feast of Yom Teruah/Rosh HaShanah on September 9th. The 18th of September is Yom Kippur which we call the day of atonement, and after that is the Feast of the Lord called Tabernacles or the Feast of Booths, and one more day that ends the cycle of the fall feasts is the 8th day. We will go over these in a couple of months.

There are some churches that have the correct teaching that the Lord’s feasts in the spring were rehearsals concerning Yeshua and all the feasts are about Yeshua and the purposes of His Father. I am talking about His death, burial and resurrection. Yeshua fulfilled the spring feasts of the Lord.

The fall feasts of the Lord are the same in that they express what is going to happen at Yeshua’s second return. Some teachings have Yeshua returning a bunch of times before a final return, but the fall feasts appear to oppose those teachings. He is coming once to take vengeance on His rebellious enemies and to set up the millennial age of righteousness and justice. Yeshua will be the King of Israel and the nations.

From today it is 15 weeks until September 9th which is Yom Teruah/Rosh HaShanah. This period between Shavuot and Yom Teruah—I said 15 weeks–is where the church is today. It seems like a very long dry season, and we have been here since Pentecost 2000 years ago. We will in the next few years begin to see the fulfillment of the Lord’s fall feasts. At some point we will hit that cycle of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit again, because it will be a last day outpouring for the final harvest.

But today I am going to over is the Psalm 29. Psalm 29 was a song written by King David and it commemorates the giving of the Torah at Mt Sinai, which is recognized by the Jews at the time of Shavuot. Now what I found fascinating about this psalm is that it was also read at the inauguration of the First Temple. The First Temple was dedicated at Succot—the Lord’s feast of Tabernacles, which is also called the ‘Feast of the Nations.’ This tells us a pattern at some time in the future.

The Temple housed in the Holy of Holies the Ark of the Covenant, and the Ark housed the covenant. What was the covenant? It was Ke’uba; the marriage contract between God and Israel. The teachings of God were inscribed on two stones, about the size of your hands, with His finger. So God wrote the first Bible. Exodus 31:18

And when God made an end of speaking with Moses on mount Sinai, He gave Moses, two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.

We would call the commandments (and scholars have listed them as ten) the Decalogue. I call these commandments teachings or instructions. They teach us how to love God and how to conduct ourselves toward our neighbors. Love is after all demonstration of it.

Afterward, after the dedication of the Temple in Solomon’s day, this Psalm would be recited by the Levites on the first intermediate day of Tabernacles as the ‘Song of the Day’ and it describes the ‘Rejoicing of the drawing of the waters’ on the first night. Water is drawn every night during the feast

Remember when Yeshua cried out in John 7:37

On the last day, that great day of the feast (Tabernacles), Jesus stood and cried out, saying: If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.   He is talking about receiving the Holy Spirit. He is saying all these feasts and the rituals in these feasts point to Him.

As always I am limited on time so let’s get started on Psalm 29

  • Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty ones (angels), give unto the LORD glory and strength
  1. Give unto the LORD, the glory due His name; worship the LORD in the beauty of Holiness. (this means to prostrate one’s self before Him)

Now the rest of the psalm depicts the manifestation of God at Sinai. Exodus 19: 16-18, 20:18

Let us look at some of the vibrant imagery found in Exodus 19: Then it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain; and the sound of the trumpet was very loud, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled

And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.

Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.

And when the blast of the trumpet sounded long and became louder and louder, Moses spoke , and God answered him.

Exodus 20: 18

Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled. Then they said to Moses: “You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.”

No doubt the Hebrews were trembling at such a display of power and the splendor of God. The visual and sound effects that day at Sinai had to be overwhelming dramatic to the human senses and probably experienced a little bit of sensory overload to the point they did no longer want the divine God to speak to them, but the man Moses.

In this psalm the voice of the Lord is listed 7 times, and in Revelation 10:4 is the uttering of 7 thunders and John is told to seal them and not write them.

  1. The voice of the LORD is upon the water: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters.

I had been in thunder storms where the sound waves formed would vibrate the walls and foundation of my home. It would frighten my little dogs until they would lie at my feet. This is the imagery here. His voice at Mount Sinai travelled to the waters (probably across the sea of Galilee to the Mediterranean Sea and the Nile River ( Egypt) to the Euphrates in (Iraq).

  1. The voice of the LORD is power;   the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.
  2. The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon.

There is this compression wave, or the shock wave caused by the sound of God’s voice and several miles away from Mt Sinai it broke the cedars of Lebanon.

  1. He makes them also skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox

One might think that gazelles, and cattle skipped playfully, but what this is saying is that the voice of God moved the beasts from their places of grazing. The concussion of the sound waves caused a rolling effect much like ocean waves moving across the earth. Several inches of the earth was lifted up and rolled and it moved the earth and the waters.

  1. The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire

Moses said of the Lord to the children of Israel in Deuteronomy 33:2,

The LORD came from Sinai, and dawned on them from Seir; He shone forth from Mount Paran, and He came with ten thousands of saints; from His right hand came a fiery law for them. In Acts 2, the fire was divided amongst them that were in the upper room at the day of Pentecost.

  1. The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kay-desh

It should read this way: the voice of the LORD convulsed the wilderness, it convulsed the wilderness of Kaydesh. These areas were having spasms.

  1. The voice of the LORD makes the hinds to calve, and strips the forest bare; and in His temple every one says: “Glory!”

This can be read this way: The voice of the LORD made the pregnant deer and gazelles give birth! When the shock wave hit them—they dropped their young on the ground.

  1. The Lord sat enthroned at the Flood; and the LORD sits as King forever
  2. The LORD will give strength unto His people; the LORD will bless His people with peace.

Okay, I hope this program was a blessing to you. If it is God’s will I will have a teaching next week. So, have a blessed week, remember to walk by faith and not by sight; keep your spiritual garments clean from blemishes, spots and wrinkles, ask God to cleanse you of all unrighteousness every day, remain in His service, Love God and love your neighbor
