“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.”

Jonah and Revelation, June 10th

Shalom-shalom; peace in the name of Yeshua. This is Crystal Sharpe and welcome to the Ancient Scrolls program. Today is the first day of the week, it is Sunday June 10th.

So, last Sunday we did an introduction to Jonah and covered the first chapter and today we are look at the man Jonah anointed to be king of Israel, Jehu.

Let’s turn to God in prayer through His Son, Yeshua.

Father,

Blessed are You, O Lord our God, King of the universe. We thank You that there is no King besides You. We thank You for Your Son, Yeshua, that He is the only way to You. He is the way, the truth and the light. There are no various paths that lead to You; Your word is clear the only way to the Father is through Your Son. The message in the Word is clear that no one can come to the Father except through the Son.

Nothing can deliver us from our most miserable bondages of porn, child sacrifice, child molestation, suicide, murder, hatred, fornication, drug addictions, incest, zoophilia, adultery, sodomy, lesbianism, gender confusion, human abuse and torture. It is nothing but the blood of Jesus.

I pray for the release of truth in this nation, and I pray, Father, that You will call forth the remnant that is not afraid of preaching the truth. I pray for those people in this nation that are alethophobic and veritaphobic, that You will deliver them from their extreme fears of truth. We pray You will push back this darkness, this principality, from the borders of this nation.

We pray You will take the stony hearts out of this nation’s people, and surgically remove the thick callouses from them, and plow the hearts to receive the Seed, the Word, of the Lord that will give them eternal life.

Father, blow the winds of repentance over this nation. Your proclamation to my husband and me was that we are in the end days. We thank You for Your personal word to us concerning this.

We pray that Your wisdom, knowledge and understanding will saturate President Trump, and that You will take every crooked way out of him.  We pray for his protection, his wife, children and grandchildren.

I pray for Netanyahu and Israel that the veil from their eyes will be lifted and they will receive Yeshua as their Messiah. I pray You will blow the winds of repentance on the Arabs; the nations will not have peace until they know Yeshua. I pray these petitions and requests in the name of Yeshua.

Last program we did an introduction of Jonah; that he was the son of the prophet Amittai and is said to be the son of the widow in Zarephath I Kings 17:9 that Eliajh prayed back to life.

So, what I am going to do is follow a little more on Jonah today and I will be reading from II Kings 9. I am just saying this after I done some research on Jonah, I found him to be an interesting character that gives us a picture of Yeshua concerning the end of days. Jonah sets off a chain of events when he is chosen by his master Elisha to anoint Jehu as the King of Israel.   Let me go over this a little bit:

At the end of this age, the nations, and the God of heaven will have to deal with several entities of the darkness: there is the dragon, the antichrist, a false prophet, the whore on a beast that represents religion, and then there are the disciples, or followers, of the Satanic system of the beast.

Then there are the good guys: Yeshua, His 2 witnesses, the 144,000 from the twelve tribes of Israel, the martyrs, and other disciples.

So, keep those things in mind when I go over these passages in II Kings. The tension and pressure that is discerned in II Kings is a picture of what Yeshua is going to do at the end of the age. So, I am going to give some detail on what was past, and some information that would be current by the time Jonah anoints Jehu king of Israel.

King Ahab is already dead. He was killed by a Syrian arrow in I Kings 22:34, 38: So the king died, and someone washed the chariot at the pool of Samaria, and the dogs licked up his blood while the harlots bathed, according to the word of the Lord which He had spoken. This is not a good way to be remembered for generations. This is a previous prophetic word given by Elijah in I Kings 21 to Ahab for his participation in having Naboth murdered by Jezebel in order to seize the inheritance of Naboth’s vineyard.   So at the time of Jonah anointing Jehu–King Ahab’s son, Joram is now the king of Israel and Ahaziah is the king of Judah, the southern kingdom. Jezebel is still alive.

Ok, let’s get started on II Kings 9;  the sages say that Jonah was the prophet that Elisha sent to anoint Jehu king of Israel, and as we go over some of these passages in II Kings 9, and we will see some similarities in Revelation with some of these end time players.

And Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets and said to him, Get yourself ready, take this flask of oil in your hand, and go to Ramoth Gilead. Now when you arrive at that place, look there for Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi, and go in and make him rise up from among his associates, and take him to an inner room.

Then take the flask of oil, and pour it on his head, and say: Thus says the Lord: I have anointed you king over Israel. Then open the door and flee, and do not delay. So the young man, the servant of the prophet, went to Ramoth Gilead. And when he arrived, there were the captains of the army sitting; and he said, I have a message for you, Commander. Jehu said: For which one of us? And he said: For you, Commander.

Then he arose and went into the house. And he poured the oil on his head, and said to him, Thus says the LORD God of Israel: I have anointed you king over the people of the LORD, over Israel.”

You shall strike down the house of Ahab your master, that I may avenge the blood of My servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel. (Jehu’s name means “Jehovah IS”, and he is a representation of Yeshua carrying out judgment at the end of days. Both Yeshua and Jehu have the name of God embedded in their names.)

For the whole house of Ahab shall perish; and I will cut off from Ahab all the males in Israel, both bond and free. So will I make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah. The dogs shall eat Jezebel on the plot of ground at Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door and fled. I Kings 21:17-24

Then Jehu came out to the servants of his master, and one said to him: Is all well? Why did this madman come to you? And he said to them: You know the man and his babble. And they said: A lie! Tell us now! So he said: Thus and thus he spoke to me, saying: Thus says the LORD: I have anointed you king over Israel” Then each man hastened to take his garment and put it under him on the top of the steps and they blew the trumpets saying: “Jehu is king!”

Some sources reflect that these steps were the sun dial that was used to tell time. Jehu’s associates, who are now his servants, go about preparing a make shift throne of garments and set him on this time mechanism; perhaps this would signify that time had run out for those idolaters, some of us still say today “the time has come . . .”

In Israel at that time was a great following of the Satanic system of Ba’al and Ashereh. According  to I Kings 18:19, at one time there were 850 prophets who ate at Jezebel’s table. These false prophets were killed at Mt Carmel by Elijah— and those who had returned to the God of Abraham.

After Jehu is anointed king, he sets himself to rid Israel of the descendants of the idolater Ahab and Jezebel. The first descendant to deal with would be the current king of Israel, Joram. King Jehu slays him with an arrow at Jezreel. Jezreel is significant in the end times. Jezreel means “God will sow.”

II Kings 9:25 after King Joram is dead King Jehu says:

Then Jehu said to Bidkar his captain, Pick him up, and throw him into the tract of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite; for remember, when you and I were riding together behind Ahab his father, that the LORD laid this burden upon him; ‘Surely I saw yesterday the blood for Naboth and the blood of his sons, says the LORD, ‘and I will repay you in this plot,’ says the LORD. Now therefore, take and throw him on the plot of ground, according to the word of the LORD. What Jehu ordered here was in accordance to the prophetic word issued from God by Elijah to Ahab in I Kings 21:17

After King Joram, the son of Ahab is dead—King Jehu seeks to locate Jezebel

Verse 30

Now when Jehu had come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she put paint on her eyes and adorned her head, and looked through a window. Then, as Jehu entered the gate, she said: Is it peace, Zimri, murderer of your master? (this is a sarcastic remark conjuring up a previous servant, Zimri, who killed a king of Israel, declared himself king, then burned the king’s palace upon himself and he died, so the remark is on the idea of usurping the throne) And he looked up at the window and said: Who is on my side? Who? So two or three eunuchs looked out at him. (These eunuchs represent those who will assist in the overthrow of the whore on the beast Revelation 17:15-16, Then he said to me, the waters which you saw, where the whore sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and tongues, and the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the whore, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire.)

Then he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down, and some of her blood splattered on the wall and on the horses; and he trampled her underfoot. (Revelation 17:5, mystery, Babylon the great, the mother of harlots and of the abominations of the earth. Verse 6.  and I saw the woman, drunk with  the blood of the saints and with the blood of martyrs of Yeshua. 18:29, Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore.

And when he had gone in, he ate and drank. Then he said, “Go now, see to this accursed woman, and bury her, for she was a king’s daughter.”  (she was the daughter of King Ethbaal of Tyre, king of the Phoenicians. The Phoenicians were a sea faring people, and were manufactures of purple called Tyrian purple)

So they went to bury her, but they found no more of her than the skull and the feet and the palms of her hands.

Therefore they came back and told him. And he said: This is the word of the LORD, which He spoke of His servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying: “On the plot of ground at Jezreel dogs shall eat the flesh of Jezebel; and the corpse of Jezebel shall be as refuse on the surface of the field in the plot at Jezreel, so that they shall not say, ‘Here lies Jezebel.”

There would be no stately tombs in recognition of Jezebel. Instead it says that the corpse of Jezebel shall be as refuse on the surface of the field in the plot at Jezreel; and this is a nice way of saying that this infamous woman will always be remembered as being dog poop on the surface of the field.

II Kings 10

Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. And Jehu wrote and sent letters to Samaria, to the rulers of Jezreel, to the elders to those who reared Ahab’s sons, saying: Now as soon as this letter comes to you, since your master’s sons are with you, and you have chariots ad horses, a fortified city also, and weapons, choose the best qualified of your master’s sons, set him on his father’s throne, and fight for your master’s house. (Jehu is saying to appoint a king from the sons of Ahab and that this son should fight for his father’s house. 70 represents the nations in the world, and these rebellious nations that come against Israel will be slaughtered at the end of the age).

But they were exceedingly afraid and said: Look, two kings could not stand up to him; how then can we stand? (Remember he had killed King Joram of Israel and the king of Judah, Ahaziah). Verse 5. And he who was in charge of the house and he who was in charge of the city, the elders also, and those who reared the sons (of Ahab), sent to Jehu, saying: “We are your servants, we will not make anyone of Ahab’s children king. Do what is good in your sight.

Jehu wrote a second letter that instructed them to take the heads of Ahab’s sons and meet him at Jezreel.

Now the king’s sons, seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, who were rearing them took the king’s sons and slaughtered seventy persons, put their heads in baskets and sent them to Jehu at Jezreel.

Verse 10. Know now that nothing shall fall to the earth of the word of the LORD which the LORD spoke concerning the house of Ahab; for the LORD has done what He spoke by his servant Elijah. So Jehu killed all who remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men and his close acquaintances and his priests, until he left none remaining

So, you noticed I pointed out here and there the place called Jezreel. Jezreel is the focal point for the end time battle called Armageddon, it is the Jezreel Valley. It is a fertile plain where Naboth, an innocent man, was falsely accused by Jezebel and murdered for Naboth’s inheritance.

From Mt. Carmel you can also see the Jezreel plain. It is here at Mt. Carmel where Elijah called upon the name of the God of Abraham, and killed the idol worshippers of baal. The huge battle in the future is the same. It is the final battle between the idolaters of the world and Yeshua.  Jehu killed all those who murdered the prophets and servants of God at Jezreel. Yeshua will wet His sword with the blood of the idolaters who murdered His prophets and servants.

I will leave this with you all, I am out of time Revelation 16:16

And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon

Next week, if it is God’s will, I will have another teaching. Remember to walk by faith, not by sight. Ask God to cleanse you from all unrighteousness everyday. Keep your spiritual garments clean from spots, wrinkles and blemishes. Love God, love your neighbor.

I find it interesting that Jonah lived to be 120 years old. Most readers of Jonah understand that God sent him to warn Ninevah of their impending destruction. In Genesis 6:3, it states that the LORD said His Spirit would not always strive with man forever, for man was flesh, and continued to say his days shall be 120 years. Seldom does anyone live to be 120 years old today, people begin to expire in their 50’s, and a few live into their 80’s, and fewer still may live in their 90’s. Reading this, years ago, I came to a realization that this passage must be talking about something else, because it was rare that anyone would live to be 120 years old.

In the Torah, God gave instructions for the Hebrews to keep Sh’mita count and a jubilee count. Sh’mita count was every 7 years, a Hebrew was to work the ground 6 years and let the ground rest the 7th year; and the jubilee was the 50th year. So, what God was saying in Genesis was that His Spirit would not strive with man—forever, emphasis on forever; that his years would be 120 years and that this meant 120 jubilees. 50 times 120 equals 6000 years, and at the end of the 6000 years begins the 7th millennium, the reign of Yeshua. The 120 jubilee years in Genesis was talking about the end of the age, where He would not have to strive with man—forever, at the end of 120 jubilees.

Jonah lived to be 120 years, and in this time was sent on a mission to warn the citizens of Ninevah of their
