“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.”

Israel, altar, red heifer, hyssop

Shalom-shalom; peace, in the name of Yeshua. This is Crystal Sharp and welcome to the Ancient Scrolls program. December 30, 2018.

What you heard was the sound of the shofar, and the shofar, in ancient Israel, would announce specific movements according to specific sounds. At the movement of the Ark of the Covenant, Moses would shout: “Rise up, O LORD! Let Your enemies be scattered, and let those who hate You flee before You.”

Shema, O America, the Lord our God, the Lord is One. The first commandment is to love the Lord Your God with all Your heart, with all Your soul and with all Your strength. Deuteronomy 6:4

Today I am going to briefly touch on the dedication of the altar in Israel that happened recently, and speak on some things concerning the Red heifer. It will help familiarize some of you with events that will shortly come to pass in Israel.

Let us go to prayer:

Father,

We thank You for being God, for being the King of the Universe, king over heaven and king over the earth. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof; the world and those who dwell therein. Psalm 24

Psalm 138

I will praise You with my whole heart; before the gods I will sing praises to You. I will worship toward Your holy temple. And praise Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; for You have magnified Your word above all Your name.

We pray for Your justice and righteousness to prevail over the deep darkness of this nation. We pray for Your Spirit of repentance to saturate the church and the nation.

We pray for the martyrs overseas who endure persecution for the Word of God (which this means Torah), and have the testimony of Yeshua.

We pray for You to strengthen them, to encourage them, to assist them by Your angels and other ministering brothers and sisters. The book of Revelation states these martyrs are given white robes and are told to rest a little longer, until both the number of their fellow servants, and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed. Give them peace in this time of their great distress.

We pray for president Trump as usual. We pray life over him, that Your Spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding would permeate him. We pray that he would be a seeker of You, of Your righteousness and justice. We pray he will not seek to divide Israel. We ask that he be protected, his wife, children and grandchildren. We look to You, Father, to deliver us because man does not possess the ability to save us. Father, You are the only solution to our many problems. Our problems increase every day.

We pray for Israel’s protection as the nations are conspiring to annihilate them. We pray that You give hidden strategies to them to overcome their enemies. We ask that every plan of the enemy will be exposed. There is coming a day when Israel will receive Yeshua as their King. We pray Yeshua will come quickly because the earth is full of violence, full of the blood of dead babies, child molestation and the land is defiled with sexual sins. Deliver us, Father. In Yeshua’s name, Amen

On nearly every program I remind listeners that our Father for some months has been speaking to us, repeatedly, that we are at the end of days and for us to deliver His royal proclamation to others. He also said there is going to be a stock market crash. The powers that be, the wealthy elite, in this nation and the world are employing themselves diligently to dissolve the nations into chaos so they can bring order to the world through their figure the antichrist.

Israel, of course, plays a significant role in the end of days scenario, and the return of Yeshua. They are fulfilling prophetic passages in the Bible concerning them, and so are the nations. The nations will fulfill their part by killing the Christians and Jews—hating God and worshipping Satan, worshipping the antichrist.

It was around the 12th of this month, December, that Israel came into the news for erecting an altar, which is a replica of the one to be used on the Temple Mount, and it was dedicated on the last day of Hanukkah.

This development in Israel caused ripples in the prophetic community, and among those who have understanding. The understanding is that this is one of the indicators that point to Yeshua’s return. There were different responses to this among the Christians that I thought was interesting. Some immediately started prophesying hell fire, brimstone, damnation, death and plague on Israel. Some even posted supposed ecstatic visions of God’s wrath and hatred being poured out on them.  Then there were the other Christians like me who had the perspective that this was perhaps a harbinger, a precursor that would link it to end of days prophetic passages in the Bible.

Altars going up in Israel is significant in this day since it has not happened for several thousand years. Among some Christians, as a friend of mine pointed out, Frankie, this caused a disturbance because the realization is that we are at the end of days and that the antichrist is close to being revealed. This created anxiety because, well, according to the teachings of error—the church should be raptured already and the church is still here—the resurrection hasn’t happened, the graves have not been opened; and this is causing a discomfort to the flesh as these teachings of error are being reexamined. I was taught 7 years before tribulation, the rapture was going to happen. Now there are so many teachings of error on it that I can’t even work through the maze. So I don’t even try. I just go by the revelation of the word and learning it from the ancient perspective.

So, this is one indicator the altar.

Another indicator of Yeshua’s return that looks promising was the birth of a red heifer on September 5th of this year, just a few days before the Lord’s feast of Yom Teruah/Rosh haShanah.  The Temple Institute is caring for the red calf and a board of Rabbis has certified it to be blemish free. The calf could at any time develop some sort of blemish that would disqualify it for sacrifice, but right now there is no indication that the red calf has developed any sort of defect. It is a situation that is fluid right now, so time will tell. The calf is nearly 4 months old now.

A third indicator is the Temple Mount coming under the full control of Israel—either through a war or the passing of a law; this will be event that will tell us that we have only about 3 ½ years left.

So what would be the importance of the red heifer? Israel in the past required the ashes of the red heifer to cleanse the Tabernacle, the vessels, the altar and the priests from any sort of contamination as result of having come in contact with the dead. Death is not to come into the presence of the LORD. God is life and brings life; He brings function and order. Death is something that man brought into the world through disobedience, the disobedience of eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It brought dysfunction, decay, disease, separation, chaos and death.

These latter things are not to come into the LORD’s presence. So that man can come near him, God made certain provisions, requirements, to enable man to approach Him. He is pure, He is holy and we are not, and we have to be brought near to Him through the blood of Yeshua, who was perfect, without any sort of defilement, corruption, sin.

The importance of the ashes of the red heifer today will be to cleanse the Temple Mount when the altar is erected there in the near future within the next few years, maybe within the next Sh’mita cycle; sh’mita is the  7 year cycle that the Lord established some 3500 years ago. The sh’mita was established to cause the land to rest, it had to have its year to be restored. So, my husband and I look at the next years through the lense of a cycle—like He does. The very beginning of a Sh’mita cycle is important because it develops those years following it.

Let’s take a look at Numbers 19. This is during the time when Israel is still in the wilderness, they have the tabernacle erected.  Starting at the beginning of the chapter, the text reads the Lord giving Moses instructions for a red heifer sacrifice: This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD has commanded saying, Speak to the children of Israel that they bring you a red heifer without blemish, in which there is no defect, and on which a yoke has never come. This may be an idiom to mean the red heifer would be fat—it has never been worked.

Verse 3. The heifer was to be slaughtered outside the camp, and in verse 6, all of it had to be consumed by fire along with cedar wood, hyssop and scarlet. We will go over these three ingredients

Cedar wood is sort of Juniper tree. It has chemical properties that make it an insect repellent, plus it possesses a natural antifungal and antibacterial agent. Hyssop oil is the same and is used in medicines; scarlet worm– kermis worm–is also used in astringent skin lotion.

A person coming in contact with the dead can become a potential carrier of a disease from which the person died. This mixture acts as a powerful cleanser to inhibit any possible contamination by the body of the deceased.

In verse 13. Whoever touches the body of anyone who has died, and does not purify himself, defiles the Tabernacle of the LORD (Death is not to come into the presence of the LORD). That person will be cut off from Israel. He shall be unclean, because the water of purification was not sprinkled on him, his uncleanness is still on him.

This is the law when a man dies in a tent: All who come into the tent and all who are in the tent shall be unclean seven days. And every open vessel, which has no cover fastened on it, is unclean. Whoever in the open field touches one who is slain by a sword or who has died, or a bone of a man or a grave (cemetery), shall be unclean seven days. (So here we see that death contaminates everything).

The passages then say verse 17. And for an unclean person they shall take some of the ashes of the heifer burnt for purification from sin, and running water shall be put on them in a vessel. A clean person shall take hyssop and dip it in water, sprinkle it on the tent, on all the vessels, on the persons who were there, or on the one who touched a bone, the slain, the dead, or a grave.

The three ingredients, the red heifer are consumed together; when needed these ashes were sprinkled on living water (running water) and used to cleanse the person who has become impure or defiled.

So let’s go over the ritual slaughtering of the red heifer

During the time of the Tabernacle, the red heifer was taken outside the camp by the priest to be slaughtered. It is the only sacrifice that would be taken outside the camp; well, besides the goat on Yom Kippur called Azazel. The priest would take the goat, Azazel, the sins of Israel would be laid upon the goat and carried out into the wilderness. This represented taking the sins of Israel away from them; and not only that, but the sins of Israel was taken away from the presence of God as well. The red heifer being slaughtered outside of the camp, was performed away from the presence of God, because  His dwelling place was there in the Tabernacle and Israel.

The priest would take the red heifer outside the camp, and he would face the entrance of the Tabernacle. He would slaughter the red heifer and sprinkle its blood 7 times toward the Tabernacle, and he would then burn it with the three ingredients (hyssop, cedar wood and scarlet).

During the Temple period in Solomon’s day; the Red Heifer was then slaughtered outside of the Jerusalem walls on the Mount of Olives, east of the Holy Temple; and this was done to where the priest could see into the entrance of the Holy Temple. The priest arranged himself and the red heifer to where he could see straight back to the Holy Place where the curtain hung. This parallels the death of Yeshua. In Matthew 27:51

Describes the scene of the Holy of Holies from where the crucifixion of Yeshua was taking place, those there with Yeshua could see straight into the Temple to where the curtain of separation was torn in two when Yeshua died. Yeshua could see to the Holy of Holies.

Now after the priest or the Cohen slaughtered the red heifer, he would sprinkle its blood 7 times in the direction of the Temple. The red heifer would then be burned in a place called “the winepress” due to its shape being similar to that of a wine-press in which grapes were tread upon.

After it being completely consumed by fire, the priest would then gather up its ashes. The ashes would then be divided into three portions; one part was kept in a secure place on the Mount of Olives (Temple period), one was kept in the area immediately outside the wall of the temple courtyard, and one part was divided among the priests throughout the land of Israel to be used, as needed, in purifying the people (Mishna Parah 3:11).

The red heifer prophetically points to Yeshua and His death on the tree. He was perfect and unblemished and He took on the sins of the world so that we could become the righteousness of God.

The red heifer was slaughtered outside the camp, and outside the walls of Jerusalem, so was Yeshua slaughtered outside the walls of the city of Jerusalem. The Red Heifer was able to cleanse those contaminated by touching dead corpses, and Yeshua was able to cleanse us from the sins of the world that causes death. The sages say the red heifer is the most mysterious of the all the sacrifices in that it purified the impure and defiled the pure. This is symbolic of Yeshua’s work on the cross: He became defiled to make the impure pure.

As I was researching through the Mishnah for some information on the Red Heifer; it states that 9 red heifers had been slaughtered from the time of Moses to the destruction of the second Temple in 70 AD. There are those who say the 10th red heifer will usher in the Messianic kingdom. There is another teaching that Yeshua will slaughter a red heifer in the Third Temple on His return. This will be the new millennium, because

Ezekiel 36:24 says

For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.

Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. This will be done between Purim and Pesach/Passover

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes and you will keep My judgments and do them.

Also, Ezekiel, chapters 40-48 points to the time of the new millennium and gives more understanding on the Prince (which is Yeshua offering His sacrifices to God when He enters, what the sages say is the Third Temple. It will be an exciting time.

I am going to end the program. Rico Cortes will sing the Aaronic blessing in Hebrew from Numbers 6:24-26.

If it is God’s will I will be here next program. Remember to walk by faith and not by sight. Do two things this week: love and forgive. Ask God to cleanse you from all unrighteousness every day. Keep your spiritual garments clean from wrinkles, spots and blemishes. Love God, love your neighbor.

There are others who say the 10th red heifer will usher in the Messianic kingdom. So the Red Heifer and the dedication of the altar have caused a stir in Israel and the nations. These are the indicators that

. The altar in Revelation 11 will kick start the final days of this age.

Listen carefully, the altar, the replica, is a preparatory note for what is coming. We should be taking note of it as it is the signal, the indicator, the starting line for us to prepare ourselves for the return of Yeshua. When he comes He will bring His reward with Him. We appreciate God for these signals so we know where we are in the word and to make adjustments concerning time, time we may have left to prepare. We diligently look into the passages of the book of Revelation, the road map for the end of this age, and the return of Yeshua.

There is a powerful, a strong delusion that has come over the nations.

I am wondering if it was similar to this in the years just before WWII when the Protestants supported Hitler and his final solution. By the end of it Hardly anything has changed since the Protestants killed 6 million Jews in Germany. I think if I were a Jew in America, I think I would sell everything I had and high tail it out of here.

A friend of ours, Rita Sharpe, of Remnant ministries had gone to Israel about four years ago, and visited the Temple Institute and was told all the vessels and instruments used for the Temple service are completed as well as the Menorah, the ephod and the crowns for the priests are completed, their attire used for service.

Israel has the Cohen haGadol (the high priest), twenty priests that are still in training, the Sanhedrin, the tabernacle is completed and is able to be erected in 7 days, and the altar can be assembled in 15 minutes.

There are two things right now that prevent the full functioning of the altar: the red heifer and the Temple Mount. The Jews, from my understanding, possesses sovereignty over the Temple Mount but the Muslim Wagf has administration of it. Eventually, according to Revelation 11, the measurement for the Temple and the altar will happen. This may mean that Israel will eventually pass a law to take full control of it or an event will happen to allow their full access to it. This is not too far in the future and we will see what unfolds to cause it.

The Temple Mount is where the Dome of the Rock sits, and it is the place where Herod’s Temple stood until it was destroyed in 70AD.

So today I am going to focus on the Red Heifer and give information on it so you will become somewhat familiar with it. I used various sources for this program: the Mishnah, Edersheim’s book called the Temple, it’s Ministry and Services, also Jeff Benner and some passages from Numbers 19, and we will see how far time will allow us to diffuse this information.

The purpose of the Red Heifer was to cleanse the priests from their defilement of coming in contact with the dead. The passages in Numbers 19 will show that death appears to contaminate everything.

All the sacrifices were shadows of Yeshua according to Paul when he instructed the Colossians to not allow the pagans to judge them on their observances of the Lord’s festivals, the new moon, the Sabbaths which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ. This is in Colossians 2:16-17. So the Red Heifer represents the work of Messiah also.

Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, this is the ordinance of the law which the LORD has commanded saying: Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring you a red heifer without blemish, in which there is no defect and on which there is no defect and on which a yoke has never come.

  1. You shall give it to Eleazar the priest, that he may take it outside the camp, and it shall be slaughtered before him; and Eleazar the priest shall take some of its blood with his finger, and sprinkle some of its blood seven times directly in front of the tabernacle of meeting.

Then the heifer shall be burned in his sight: its hide, its flesh, its blood, and its offal shall be burned and the priest shall take cedar wood and hyssop and scarlet, and cast them into the midst of the fire burning the heifer.

And the priest shall take cedar wood and hyssop and scarlet, and cast them into the midst of the fire burning the heifer.

Verses 7 and 8 is information on the priests performing ritual cleansing

To sanctify the priests and the altar, the ashes of a red heifer must be used to purify them. The red heifer is taken to a place outside of Jerusalem and killed. Its body is to be burned and the ashes collected to be sprinkled in vessels of water. The hyssop is placed in the mixture and sprinkled on the priests.

Israel’s attempt to find a red heifer has been unsuccessful in the past 6 years. Earlier this year a red c
