This evening begins the Lord’s feast of Passover/Pesach (Leviticus 23). I was doing last minute cleaning in preparation for the feast. We observe rest once Shabbat or a feast begins. This is the requirement of the Lord in His Teachings, the Ten Commandments. As I was using the small vacuum cleaner on an area rug I sensed the earth roll beneath my feet. I shut the vacuum off and then felt a smaller tremor. It felt real to me and I was disturbed, because I thought how could the cement floor move like that. We built the house on a rock.
Note: I am thinking there may be an earthquake. Some years ago I would sense earthquakes in a different way. I would feel movement, swaying, and vibrations. It would be so real to me that I would hold to tables, place my hands on walls and door facings until it would pass. Six months before the magnitude 5.8 earthquake that hit Virginia in 2011, I would often sense these real symptoms, and would pray concerning them; hoping to either pray it away or diminish its effects. August 23, 2011 West Virginia experienced the earthquake that had developed in Virginia. It could have been worse. I know the Lord was merciful.
Luke 21:11 New King James Version (NKJV) 11 And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.
